Surfers’ Parade Middleton Beach

Middleton Beach is one of Australia’s best and safest beaches for learning to surf. With its soft, slow rolling whitewater waves due to the tapered sandy sea floor, it’s a perfect spot to catch your first waves.

Although we get a variety of conditions at Middleton, there is rarely a day when we cannot hold lessons. With its south facing coast, ideal conditions are a small swell with light offshore northerly winds.

Although our preferred activity at Middleton is surfing, there are plenty of other things to do there . It is a great place for a swim, body surf, or body boarding session. You can just get your feet wet and dig for cockles on the shoreline or build a sandcastle on the beach.

You can walk along the beach all the way from Middleton Point straight through to Goolwa. Bring your dogs along but please remember to clean up after them! Keep a lookout and you may even see some dolphins and whales.
